When I first posted these pages I was looking at this sub, and thinking very serious about buying. Well last Thursday (April 11, 2002) I quit thinking, wrote a check, and drove it home. Many people, upon seeing this gem, will agree that I quit thinking. The right rear tire was almost flat, and the brake light didn't work. Oh, and maybe one or two others things were wrong with it too. I'm looking for a few replacement parts. A good steel body would be nice...
Saturday the kids helped wash it inside and out. I'll get some pictures of that up soon. And we put air in the low tire. Today Stu and I fixed the brake lights, or at least proved we knew why it didn't work, and cobbled up a temporary solution.
I was worried about brakes all this time, and now I realize it doesn't have seat belts. While my original response to that little detail was that when it was built they weren't required, its since occurred to me that the law may care. So next project is probably seat belts.
